Qualifications: Information Technology seeks to hire a dedicated professional who is committed to exemplary operational excellence and customer service. As the Shift Manager, you will be responsibility for ensuring the Network Operation Center (NOC) analysts provide 24x7 desktop support, proactive monitoring of applications, LAN/WAN, server, storage and communications infrastructure as well as the monitoring, control and maintenance of the company’s mainframe environment, including ensuring all production schedules, billing transmissions, and SLA’s are met daily. To be considered, you must possess one of the following: • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Management Information System, Engineering or related field) with three years’ relevant experience; OR • Associates Degree (Computer Science, Management Information System, Engineering or related field) with five years’ relevant experience; OR • High school diploma with seven years relevant experience with working in a Network Operations Center (NOC), Call Center or Control Center environment. Additionally, the successful candidate must have: • Managerial and/or supervisory experience of a technical group with a proven ability to motivate people. • Excellent project management, analysis and communications skills. • Experience in managing projects, representing the organization in dealings with customers, support groups, and vendors, and render sound business decisions. • Be highly organized and detail oriented, and proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and Power Point.


Responsibilities: The Shift Manager will supervise the activities of the System Monitoring Group (SMG), Network Desk (NWD) and Mainframe Operations analysts in conjunction with the Systems Manager. They will be responsible for application, network and infrastructure monitoring and communications. The shift manager will enforce change management controls and guidelines, ensure timely, reliable and accurate communications internally to Information Technology and externally to our customers including daily status reports, daily system status calls, weekly change control meetings, and event communication. They will be responsible for working with SME’s to ensure prompt response, resolution, analysis, trending, and root cause analysis. This includes the coordination and activation of incident response, support and development of related processes and forms, routine review of communication procedures, and regular reporting of data. The Shift Manager will ensure that the NOC analysts coordinate and schedule all preventative maintenance and repair work for all Data Center environmental support hardware such as UPS, Chiller plant, and all HVAC equipment. Planning and executing mainframe recovery strategies, drills and processes to ensure the continuation of vital business functions. In addition, the Shift Manager will oversee major projects as designated by the Systems Manager of the NOC. May perform other related duties as required.

All candidates must o Adhere to all safety, health and environmental Company policies and take the necessary required training when appropriate. o Have a valid NYS driver’s license. o Be able and willing to travel within the Company's service territory as needed. o Be able to participate in the Company’s emergency management processes and storm plans as required. o Be able to work full rotating 12 hour shifts including weekend and holidays. o Be willing to work overtime, be on call, and respond to emergencies.
