About this Role

Location Labs is growing quickly and we’re looking for a new team member to help out with desktop support, application support and basic server administration. You will build, maintain, and continually improve the technical support experience at Location Labs. You will make sure all employees have the technology they need to be productive on their first day with the company, and that all equipment is properly inventoried. You’ll react quickly to internal requests but also think proactively about necessary improvements and automation of repeated tasks as the company scales to 200 employees and beyond. On top of this, you’ll be working on a team that works on production systems and will have lots of opportunity to grow and learn.

What We Use

  • Mac OS X (75%), Linux (10%), Windows (15%)
  • Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Jira/Confluence
  • Ansible, Git, OpenLDAP, Python

Ideally, You Should Have

  • In-depth experience with OS X and associated management tools such as the Casper suite
  • Experience with Linux/Windows in a networked, non-Active Directory, environment
  • Basic automation scripting/programming experience using Ansible, Bash and Python
  • A drive for customer service excellence at all levels of the organization while presenting a warm and patient demeanor
  • Maintained an asset inventory
  • Experience working with a ticketing system such as Jira
  • Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot problems such as lost network connectivity, login issues, OS and hardware failures
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, while closely collaborating on broader IT projects
  • Curiosity and habit of learning
  • Desire to educate others on new technologies
  • Ability to think ahead and plan for future growth
  • Experience in creating standard operating procedures and documentation
