The Role:

We're looking for an iOS Engineer to help us write mobile apps that interact with drones to automate data

capture and analysis. Features we're looking to add for our users include API integration with cloud services, connectivity with hardware, and making the front end as beautiful and user-friendly as possible.

What You’ll Own:

  • Contributing to the design of next-generation software products
  • Making magic: getting complex high-level code interacting with drone and camera hardware
  • Designing test rigs for your work to ensure your mobile app plays nice with each vehicle
  • Debugging patiently, documenting efficiently, refactoring smartly, and pushing hard for testing and quality
  • Working with our Cloud team to make sure raw and processed data is seamlessly transferred between app and cloud
  • Continue defining your role as we grow

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Modern iOS development experience with Swift
  • Prior experience building interactive, custom iPad/iPhone UI components
  • Familiarity with automated testing of iOS applications
  • Experience with Git and continuous integration tools
  • Comfortable with Python (or other scripting language) and command line automation
  • Is organized, detail-oriented, and communicative

Bonus Points for:

  • Building apps that include maps
  • Developing software that connects to drones or other hardware
  • Having contributed to an open source project
  • Designing and developing APIs
  • 2D and 3D visualization development on iOS
  • Socket-based networking
  • Previous work with MapKit, Mapbox, or other mapping engines
