The Software Development Engineer uses in-depth knowledge and experience to oversee the writing and modifying of complex software application programs. This position will create detailed specifications or designs, conduct quality assurance reviews of peer's application programming, and act as a resource for team members with less experience. The Software Development Engineer will code, test, debug, document and maintain software application programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT

• 5-8 years of experience in web development with knowledge of the NET Framework, C#, JavaScript, JQuery, and Visual Studio

• Knowledge of relational database systems (RDBMS) including Microsoft SQL Server

• Solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, performance tuning and best development practices

• Thorough understanding of object-oriented design patterns and best practices

• Knowledge of effective QA techniques including automated testing processes

• Excellent communication and analytical skills

• Adaptability with a strong desire to investigate

• Knowledge of accepted software engineering practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

• Motivated to taking a lead role and ownership of building complex rule engines

• Strong customer service focus

• Ability to lead discussions with all levels of the organization and provide balanced information of an idea or communication of an issue regardless of written or verbal

• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

• Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions

• Demonstrated team collaboration experience
