Itemize is the receipts processing engine for the digital age. This role at Itemize will put you at the forefront of this new and exciting area of commerce and technology. With the most powerful receipt data extraction and management platform – we do it with a 99% accuracy in under 15 seconds, physical and online – Itemize is looking for the right person to help optimize our database and overall system.

Skills & Requirements

• 4+ years proven professional experience as a DBA with relational databases (MySQL, SQLServer, PostgreSQL) handling actual design and optimization, not just installation.
• Database stored procedures, performance and tuning.
• Working knowledge of AWS; experience with automation, auto-scaling, cloud formation.
• Working knowledge of Linux.
• Python, bash, powershell scripting.
• Clear and organized thinker and communicator.
• Experience in changing, high-growth environments.
• Enthusiasm for working in early stage companies with rapid growth and fluid organizations.
• Ability to efficiently plan, prioritize and manage numerous projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Highly quantitative thinker, extremely detail oriented and also roll your sleeves up and get to work.
