The Role:

EverString is looking for an experienced full stack software engineer to join our engineering team in San Mateo, CA. As a member of the engineering team, you will get an opportunity to build a world class SaaS-based predictive analytics application. You will contribute to the full web application stack - JavaScript (Angular.js) for user interface, and Python for server-side development. You will collaborate with platform and data science teams to deliver cutting edge big data and analytics solutions to our customers.

You Will:

• Develop state of the art SaaS applications to provide predictive analytics insights to 1000’s of enterprise customers
• Contribute to the architecture and design of our products and platform
• Designing high-performance RESTful web services that meet strict performance SLAs
• Deliver high quality and scalable code with automated test coverage
• Collaborate effectively with team members and product management
• Be part of a fast-paced agile team

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

• 5+ years industry experience, with a focus on SaaS development, big data, or both
• Experience building web services using Python and Django or Flask, or Ruby on Rails
• Experience working with large datasets (Big Data)
• Strong grasp of Object-oriented design, CS fundamentals, and programming fundamentals
• Proficient in schema design and SQL tuning on RDBMS and/or Data warehouses
• Comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced startup environment
• Team player with good analytical and communication skills
• Ability to hit the ground running and learn/adapt quickly

Bonus Points:

• Experience building and shipping products using a JavaScript framework (Angular.js, React.js, etc)
• Exposure to distributed computing platforms like Hadoop, Spark, MongoDB, etc.
