Backend Software Engineer

SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES
The software engineer will join the technology team in building the Itemize platform. The engineer will also be responsible for preparing the systems for increases in scale and continuous improvement of the environment. A good candidate will be a team player who will work alongside the different members of the Itemize tech team and will get involved in all of the exciting projects at the company. Writing clean code is a must. Our engineers develop rapidly to keep the code base manageable and adaptable to future needs.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* 3+ years C# Development experience
* Fluent in MySQL
* Clear and organized thinker and communicator
* Familiarity with Object-Oriented Development practices
* Experience with AWS (specifically EC2, RDS, and S3)
* Enthusiasm for working in early stage companies with rapid growth and fluid organizations

NICE TO HAVE
* Degree in Computer Science or related field
* Experience with Dapper or NancyFx
* Experience with IIS
* Experience with unit testing, continuous integration, and test driven development
* Expertise in MongoDB or other document storage database
