iOS Engineer – Stealth Startup

Fitness/Health Mobile App
iOS Engineer

We are a team of ex-Google, Apple, and AOL employees laser-focused on producing the first app that actually helps people lose weight. We are looking to inspire and motivate individuals to reach their weight loss goals using a novel motivational technique.

We're looking for an experienced iOS engineer who enjoys pushing the boundaries of current mobile platforms, appreciates beautiful and functional design, and who can create a scalable production application. There is an opportunity to join the company full-time once the MVP is built.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and launch a highly-visible user-facing application
  • Develop primarily in Swift and use the iOS SDK
  • Use modern layout techniques and native rendering frameworks to produce a beautiful product, not just a functional one
  • Work closely with our designer
  • Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables

Preferred qualifications

  • Passion for working in a challenging, fast-paced and intellectually stimulating environment with a high-caliber team
  • Ideally 3+ years relevant work experience
  • Ideally experience working with sensors on the phone (i.e. accelerometer)
  • Ideally experience working on payments integration
  • Experience with the iOS camera library and third party mobile messaging platforms (e.g. Localytics, Urban Airship)
  • Experience in mobile application development in Swift
  • Knowledge of UI frameworks (iOS, XML), MVP application design and complex, reactive touch based UI
  • Experience working with designs produced in Sketch and Principle
  • BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
