Web Manager Success Factors:
Within the first 30 days:
• Become familiar with Taylor Guitars digital content, websites, and other digital properties.
• Begin to build relationships within the marketing team, the Taylor guitars organization and with our external partners
• Begin to apply technical skills to recommend solid achievable solutions.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple external agencies in the development and execution of project deliverables.
• Coordinate closely with design, development, and engineering personnel to ensure timely and accurate development of web content.
• Begin to create an 18 month road map for the development, execution, and management of a user experience and web content strategy that supports organizational goals.

Within the first 6 months:
• Become the measurement and analytics expert for web projects, identifying Key Performing Indicators (KPI), managing tracking implementation, and share performance to generate business growth.
• Troubleshoot website system problems and performance issues, actively identifying and recommending improvement and optimization opportunities.
• Stay current on interactive marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies that you can share with the team.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Web Manager will work as part of a creative team to help enhance our company’s digital footprint, awareness, guitar shopping experiences, and digital content on TaylorGuitars.com and other website and digital properties of Taylor Guitars. The Web Manager will be responsible for full cycle of project management including research and recommendations for new project creation, strategic planning, quality assurance, analysis, project launch preparations, content, and continuous performance monitoring of ongoing projects in order to create a superior user experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Concept, design, develop, and maintain digital content, features, functionality, and experiences to educate/assist guitar shoppers and meet the organizations marketing objectives on TaylorGuitars.com (Drupal based).
• Ensure work always meets timing, budget, and quality expectations.
• Assist in the development, execution, and management of a content marketing strategy that supports organizational goals from the top to the bottom of the marketing and sales funnel.
• Recommend and develop smart, strategic, and creative web solutions that are on-brand and response-oriented, supporting Taylor Guitars’ acquisition and lead generation efforts.
• Apply technical skills to recommend solid, achievable solutions, explain complex ideas/alternatives/risks clearly, communicate a project vision, and satisfy requirements.
• Collect and document functional requirements/specifications for projects, and then concept and create wireframes and prototypes to demonstrate functionality and generate internal agreements, buy-in, and approvals.
• Articulate ideas and collaborate with UX, design, copywriting, and other creative personnel to develop conceptual direction, outline user flows, and optimize messaging strategy.
• Coordinate closely with production, development, and engineering personnel to ensure and deliver accurate development.
• Be the measurement and analytics expert for web projects, identifying KPIs, managing the tracking implementation, and consistently monitoring, evaluating, and sharing performance along with actionable insights to generate business growth.
• Manage multiple agencies and other external partners in the development and execution of project deliverables while meeting timing, budget, and quality expectations.
• Troubleshoot website system problems and performance issues, actively identifying and recommending improvement and optimization opportunities.
• Work within Taylor creative and development guidelines/standards to ensure cross-device and cross-browser compatibility with consistent and maintainable branding, style/tone, and code.
• Stay current on interactive marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree, preferably in web design, web development, or related program. 5+ plus years’ experience in developing and managing website features/functionality, defining digital content strategy, and creating digital web experiences for B2B and/or B2C brands.

Computer Skills:
• Proficiency with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Webmaster Tools, Keyword Planner, and Chrome Developer Tools
• Proficiency with optimization tools such as Moz, SEMRush, and Optimizely highly preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, PHP, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, and JavaScript libraries preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of Drupal CMS, Drupal modules, responsive design, and AWS/CDN highly preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of UX software such as UXPin, Invision, Balsamiq, and Sketch preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of Google search ranking and optimization factors, standards and best practices, and key algorithm updates preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Marketing Automation and CRM platform experience, ideally with Adobe Campaign, is a plus.
• Known and anonymous web tracking experience, and web/content personalization experience, are preferred.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Jira, Basecamp, Trello, and Redmine is a plus.
• Thorough working knowledge of Ubercart, Cybersource, and/or Syspro are pluses.

Other Requirements:
• Both B2B and B2C experience with proven results-focus is preferred.
• Proven E-Commerce experience is preferred.

• Thorough understanding of digital UI design principles including layout, color, typography, etc.
• Strong understanding of information architecture and usability principles.
