Web Designer/Developer

As the leading developer of laser engraving and cutting technology, Epilog Laser is looking to add a web designer and developer to our marketing team. If you have strong web design and development abilities and have worked in a marketing department before, then we’re looking for you! Working with our marketing team, you will be working on special projects related to the web and internet marketing.

Essential Job Duties:

• Responsible for maintaining, expanding, and updating website content and pages
• Proven project coordination experience, ability to set timeframes and meet deadlines, including the ability to be flexible and manage simultaneous projects with varying priorities
• Help to enhance our website to increase general traffic to the website and traffic-to-lead conversion rates
• Design, implement, and maintain templates and web pages for Epilog Laser marketing efforts
• Work on international websites and help organize content for translation
• Ensure that website branding is consistent with Epilog Laser standards
• Work with software designers on software release documentation
• Ensure responsive web pages work on a variety of web browsers and mobile devices
• Contribute to the design and implementation of email marketing and online advertising efforts
• Strategize and help implement ways to improve and track site performance
• Approaches problem diagnosis and solving aggressively and demonstrates creative problem solving abilities
• Ensure best security practices and compliance measures are implemented and maintained
• Create and maintain system updates and implementation documents
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills - ability to work independently and with a team
• Other duties may in include: graphic design, copy writing/editing, photo and video capturing/editing

Skill Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in website design and programming
• Understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development and deployment, with some back-end knowledge.
• Experience with front end technologies and frameworks (Bootstrap experience a plus)
• Experience with SEO (search engine optimization)
• Experience with different platforms such as Dreamweaver and a common CMS.
• Experience with UX/UI design and development
• Experience with of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery including cross browser compatible coding
• Experience with email marketing and HTML formatting compliance
• Well versed in code optimization, debugging, and software design principles
• Audio/Video editing experience using tools like Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro a plus
• Strong team and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Experienced user of Adobe software programs
