Position Summary:

Primary responsibilities include implementation & maintenance of in-house developed systems. Responsibilities also include applying technology and designing systems to achieve client business objectives. Provide overall technical leadership for engagements within major client relationships. Work closely with project and engagement managers to provide coherent direction for clients. Across a broad technical spectrum, interact directly with client staff and management in analyzing situations and resolving issues.

Following is a more detailed list of duties and responsibilities of systems architects as it applies to new and existing systems on windows based machines. This includes OTS (Off-The-Shelf) and non-OTS systems. Part of the responsibilities is to understand Sarbanes-Oxley ACT sections that apply to financial reporting controls. Architects must understand, follow, and assist in the development of all policies and procedures as outlined in the published IT SOP document.

Duties & Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities:

New System Development

Full SDLC (software development life cycle)

Application development (Microsoft .NET/C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, 3rd party JS libraries)

Data analysis, design, and reporting (Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS and/or Crystal Reports)

Data Model Design (Visio or other modeling tools)

Application Management on Windows Based Servers

Database Management on Windows Based Servers

Existing Systems Maintenance

Daily systems checks

Server services start-up validation

Scheduled Job completion status checks

Database backup validation and integrity checks

Database Server log Auditing

Server Event Log Auditing

Web Server Log Auditing

IT Ticket request processing

Application Development and Publishing Policies

Application development follows standard SDLC guidelines

Applications are developed and published into production according to the published IT SOP document.

Project list

Custom applications for the Company Accounting systems (e.g. AP & Purchase Card invoice approval)

Customer relationship management systems (account management & document generation/retention)

Migration of other legacy systems to modern application frameworks & design practices

3rd Party Software Updates – Maintaining Systems

Database – Upkeep and maintenance
