As the Vice President of Product Management, you will define and articulate the company’s strategic Product Management direction to foster growth and position SSENSE as a leader in fashion and technology. You will be a unifying force within the organization at a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution. Supported by a team of world class talent, you will own and accelerate our complete portfolio of products in the relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and own a coherent strategic vision of product management to drive long-term growth and align to business objectives
- Define and prioritize product roadmaps per product group to ensure alignment with business priorities
- Develop unbiased key metrics and performance indicators to measure overall performance and provide foundation for continuous improvement
- Hire, lead and inspire senior members of the product management team responsible to execute strategies, optimize processes, and drive innovation for their respective product
- Identify new market opportunities and establish business requirements and implementation strategies
- Encourage, support, and assess calculated risk to bring innovative solutions that contribute to the business’ overall success
- Drive proactive environmental scanning for product opportunities and threats impacting the business
- Work cross-functionally with internal partners such as engineering and design to ensure a holistic approach that enables delivery of great products
- Develop and evangelize a culture of product innovation to influence senior leadership in order to drive awareness, engagement and action across the organization to support initiatives that will achieve sustained and profitable growth
- Develop systematic processes that are built into the overall planning processes by which we keep abreast of key trends, customer needs and 'thought leaders' in corresponding areas to identify opportunities for growth
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, Masters preferred
- 10+ years of successful product management experience in a digital environment
- 5+ years industry expertise in mobile, POS, retail or related fields
- 5+ years of experience within an Agile / Scrum environment
- Ability to successfully navigate a highly matrix organization
- Mastery of Google Analytics and other web analytics platforms
- Thorough understanding of web development, databases and technology
- Very strong business acumen with a proven track record of using analytical methods to derive value
- Appreciation for web design, typography, user experience and sociocultural trends
