We are looking for a hands-on Director of Software Engineering with experience leading teams and interfacing with stakeholders to solve complex operational challenges and create exceptional customer experiences. If you can grow a team of talented engineers and still write code yourself, we want to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the company’s technical vision and lead all aspects of technological development
  • Partner with other departments, such as Marketing, Production and Operations to improve their efficiency and effectiveness through the better use of technology
  • Identify and prioritize technology development initiatives
  • Set timetables for the evaluation, development and deployment of all technology

Requirements

  • Five years of experience as a software engineer with recent experience working on a modern web application
  • Two years of experience overseeing engineers in a management role
  • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Superior analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Object-oriented programming experience
  • Experience in general software development methodologies
  • Experience with C#, HTML, JavaScript, Jquery, and CSS
  • Direct experience in .NET, building ASP.NET MVC applications, and using and building scripts in SQL Server
  • Strong understanding of IIS/Webservices
  • Knowledge ASP.NET WebForm, ADO.NET and Entity Framework
  • Experience with unit testing
