Senior Javascript Engineer

Quid is seeking an experienced web-focused engineer who loves to solve hard problems. We are building a high performance web-based data visualization tool using state of the art browser technologies (WebGL in particular). As a member of our team, you will be collaborating with other engineers as well as designers and data scientists to create powerful visualizations, fluid animations, and innovative approaches to interacting with data.

The Job

• JavaScript, WebGL, Node.js, Rails development
• Build a visually engaging data exploration tool
• Design and develop algorithms for data visualization
• Work with Product, Design & Data science teams to create an optimized user experience, balancing conceptual possibilities with technological constraints
• Support a rapid development environment with weekly releases
• Perform code reviews and provide feedback to other developers to maintain a quality codebase and product
• Work with project managers to scope and plan the effort of a project to ensure proper resource planning and alignment between teams

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Software engineering or Computer Science
• 5 years professional engineering experience
• Thorough knowledge of JavaScript and web browser technologies
• You care deeply about the quality and performance of your code
• You thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment
• Experience with computer graphics or data visualization is a huge plus
