Primary job focus will be on email campaign validation, testing and data analysis. The position also requires results interpretation and concise report generation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor production mailing statistics looking for areas of improvement in various key areas
  • Provide support to Campaign Management team regarding findings
  • Perform Q/A on production mailings
  • Troubleshoot any issues observed during mailing operations
  • Perform root cause analysis for deliverability anomalies
  • Create methodical detailed testing plans to solve business requirements
  • Execute detailed testing methods created above
  • Test and apply new processes prior to production deployment
  • Communicate with Internet Service Providers regarding delivery issues
  • Create detailed Excel spreadsheets detailing aggregated testing results
  • Perform manual SQL queries in order to “look” at the data from various angles
  • Communicate plans, status and issues to Executive Management team
  • Perform other job-related duties as required
  • Willingness to learn Email Deliverability

QUALIFICATIONS

4 year degree in a computer related field

2 year tech degree with 4 to 6 years’ experience in related fields

  • Basic knowledge of Internet protocols (how to query, results interpretation)
    • TCP/IP
      • http/https
      • ftp/sftp
      • telnet
      • smtp
      • dns
    • IP addressing
    • Subnetting/ classless addressing
    • Microsoft Windows & Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) experience preferred
  • Familiar with usage of BI (Business Intelligence) solutions
  • Strong ability with Microsoft Excel
    • Pivot Tables
    • Power Pivot setup and manipulation
  • Basic knowledge of databases
  • Understand database data structures and methods to manipulate them
  • Ability to navigate and query databases to provide specific views
  • Ability to generate dynamic dashboards in Excel
  • Feel comfortable in a Linux environment
    • Edit files
    • Folder Navigation
    • Pipes
  • Ability to write basic shell scripts in a Centos environment to process large data sets quickly
  • Excellent communications ability, both orally and in writing
  • Adept with MS Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Analytical and logical thought process (take complex tasks in break them out to manageable components)
  • Methodical and structured in approach to problem solving
  • Highly motivated and willing to learn new skills
  • Committed to achieving mutually agreed upon goals
