Swap.com is looking for a Public Relations Manager with an agency background to accelerate our organic, WOM and referral revenue by leveraging public and social media to tell our brand story. It doesn’t get much more competitive than the E-tail industry, so if you love getting down to brass tacks and cranking out some amazing PR with our team, and generating great interaction with our customers then we would love to meet you!

Unlike other PR positions, as the face of Swap.com ( you wanted to lead an industry, right? ) you’ll have the opportunity to lead the revolution from consumption to un-consumption and own the messaging that helps to redefine an industry. You want to change the world to a better place by revolutionizing how people consume products. In order to be successful in this role, you should be creative, analytical, confident and insatiably curious about the intersection of tech, fashion and consumers. You should also have firsthand media relations and journalism writing experience.

The Minimum Requirements
After all, you’re steering the ship here

  • 5+ years experience in a corporate or agency ( preferred ) PR position / Social Media position
  • Proficient understanding and expertise with PR tools ( monitoring services, databases, etc... )
  • Savant level writing, editing, communication and presentation skills
  • You’re always-on, digesting the news, fashion sites, and social media
  • Experience with Google Analytics

Your Responsibilities
As our brand ambassador, your position will be multi-faceted...you’ve got a lot on your plate


Plan Development - Design, build and execute on quarterly and annual PR plans to secure specific focused coverage and build our media relations efforts, including the coordination of all interviews with company leadership.
Own our Media - Write, edit and proofread all of our media and brand assets. This includes strategically growing and managing the media section of our website, blog, intranet and social channels.
Multitask Like No-one Else - Lead and manage multiple projects at once and work with our marketing and merchandising department to communicate what’s relevant or to drive demand.
Drive Growth - Own the success of our social, referral and WOM channels, collaborating with our product, content and customer experience manager to align objectives.
