JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role you’ll join the MapQuest Digital Advertising team dedicated to the advancement of advertising solutions and integrations designed to inform and empower the MapQuest audience with intelligent client partnerships. As an Account Director you will champion the MapQuest brand with a diverse advertising portfolio which includes display, native integration, custom content and geo-location data solutions. Your experience and knowledge of the media marketplace will be vital to the development and collaboration of new franchise opportunities within the digital mapping advertising landscape.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Serve as the primary MapQuest advertising liaison to the west coast AOL Sales Org.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities by growing existing accounts and prospecting potential new business
  • Drive profitable revenue growth by taking advantage of MapQuest’s most scaleable display, native, content and data products
  • Demonstrate our B2C portfolio offerings to internal and external clients
  • Collaborate with numerous internal constituents (Marketing, Operations, Product) to enable our clients to maximize revenue and ensure adoption and execution of campaigns
  • Consult with Account Management on straightforward media proposals customized to the client’s needs
  • Build internal relationships to facilitate cross-team collaboration with key internal constituents including sales, operations, publisher and technology teams

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3-5 years related experience in online media sales in the desired region; experience working with regional agencies and clients strongly preferred
  • Experience selling location-based mobile & display advertising solutions strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of and genuine interest in learning all aspects of the programmatic space
  • Experience presenting sales collateral and product demos
  • Entrepreneurial, start-up mentality with the desire and ability to own projects end to end
  • Passionate for changing the media landscape, self educated on the trends of consumer behaviors and inventive ways to reach a targeted audience
  • A proven collaborator with the ability to be an effective internal advocate of client needs/market demand
  • Ability and experience managing strong internal and external relationships
  • Ability to think strategically, understanding marketer needs and creatively translating these into compelling concepts and programs
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
