Business Systems Integration Developer

Position Summary:

The Business Systems Integration Developer has the responsibility of supporting the installation, administration, development and testing of integrated business applications in a Windows, web, and WordPress environment. This is a multi-faceted position that works closely with internal business partners, vendors, consultants, end users, and other IT staff, providing hands-on support for applications, as well as working independently on projects when necessary.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Being primary internal technical support for custom, integrated business applications built on Microsoft and WordPress platforms
• Supporting and sometimes developing business application integrations and queries in both a Windows and LAMP environment using MS SQL Server, MS Integration Services, .Net technologies, JavaScript, MySQL and PHP
• Developing and maintaining integrated systems including user interface, report, and database updates
• Administering and supporting the installation, implementation, integration and use of pre?packaged business systems software solutions
• Analyzing user specifications and requirements for system integration and other development projects
• Consistently creating and updating system documentation to keep our support references current
• Seek out and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to production support, source control, and change management processes
• Active Agile Scrum development team member
• Investigating new emerging applications and technologies and recommending how to utilize them in our environment

Examples of projects the Developer will work on:

• Integrating with third-party APIs (Box and OpenText Media Manager)
• Customizing WordPress to support specific functionality
• CRM integration

Job Requirements

Education, Training and Experience

• Four year undergraduate degree with a preferred concentration in information technology or computer science
• A minimum of 4 years professional experience in the Information Technology field, ideally with business systems integration and minor development experience

Technical Expertise (in priority order)

The ideal candidate will have some professional experience with the technologies listed, and the technical aptitude and willingness to quickly come up to speed with less familiar technologies.

• Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and server technologies; Microsoft SQL Server; Microsoft IIS and Microsoft Office products
• Some experience with .NET development technologies (ASP.Net, C#.Net, VB.Net); database technologies (T-SQL, OLAP); Java Script; AJAX; XML; HTML
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of WordPress
• Understanding of PHP back-end development
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience working with any of the following Microsoft-related technologies: SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and K2 workflow
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Experience working with Elasticsearch for internal sites
• Knowledge of change control systems, specifically Git, a plus
• API development experience with Box or OpenText Media Manager
• Experience working as team member in Agile Scrum environment
