FiveStars is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead and develop our nascent QA team into a core asset of the company! As part of the larger Engineering organization, you will help balance the demands of rapid product development with stability and a bug free customer experience. In this role you will have the opportunity to set direction, staff, and build out processes for the team. Grow the team and apply cutting edge testing technology to ensure our success. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a vision for the QA team
- Help identify key metrics for the quality of our products and ensure that they are met throughout our development process
- Find, hire, mentor, and lead a team of committed QA professionals
- Develop and hone release processes across various products
- Be fully committed to the quality of the products we release to market
- Discover, adopt, and improve the technology of our testing platforms
Requirements:
- 3+ years of managing QA professionals
- Extensive experience with scripting languages and automated testing frameworks
- Experience with testing desktop software, complex web applications, and mobile apps
- Team player with strong mentorship capabilities especially regarding technological and process improvements
- Strong cross functional communication skills that balance collaboration and team advocacy
Preferred:
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with load/scalability testing
- Deep understanding of multiple testing frameworks
- Previously having grown a team from the ground up
