WHY JOIN OUR TEAM?
I am sure you are saying to yourself “that sounds great but why would I come to the county, what does it provide me that I am not currently getting?”. Good question. Maybe I can shed some light on it for you.
- Voice - We are a small team and each voice matters. The main goal of this team is to make positive changes to the experience of the end users and that can come in any form. The team works together to drive solution and standards and with all the work we have there is a great deal of opportunity. This isn’t limited to technical solutions but how we work and get to market. We are currently an “agile-ish” shop and are constantly working to improve the process and methods to make the product as well the team experience the best we can.
- Team – We are a tight team, unlike most you have worked for. Our drive is to make a difference and to improve the service we provide the residents of Mecklenburg County. We are not about bottom lines or what our competitors are doing, but about the difference we make.
- Balance – To be a good team and develop good products, we needed to learn that the old saying “customers come first” doesn’t hold water. The team and employees come first, because from them comes the quality of work our customers deserve. Mecklenburg County is a great place to work to balance both your professional and personal life.
- Growth – This is a great place to learn something new. We have a constant flow of work in all kinds of platforms. If you want to jump into an unfamiliar area and learn something new we will be your biggest supporters. We want you to grow as a team member and developer.
