Unique and exciting opportunity to join a B2B fintech startup changing the way businesses bank.   The company provides a simple cash management platform to increase returns and provides a range of SME tools.   Akoni is a high-growth B2B fintech company based in Central London, are seeking a Marketing Manager - B2B Programs on a permanent basis. 

This role will take responsibility to build and implement the company's B2B marketing plan based on the current marketing foundation and business strategy . The ideal candidate will have a proven record in building and driving business lead generation, devising and implementing sales campaigns, and experience working with business channels and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, leverage and evolve the business value proposition to capture new clients.
  • Develop prospect focused strategy, programs, and key messaging.
  • Oversee and be hands-on in the execution of B2B marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely relating to lead generation strategies with the Sales team and be a key member of driving leads through multi-channel marketing campaigns across mail, email, events, paid digital, amongst other sources
  • Work cross functionally to deliver your programs.
  • Support sales with campaigns, programs and initiatives.
  • Understanding of the SME and corporate target base, as well as specific sector/industry initiatives
  • Manage our initial 1-2 Marketing team team members including a team member running paid acquisition campaigns; event, sector and PR research
  • Build, manage, and retain a team of B2B marketing team members as the business expands.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, return on marketing budgets
  • Quarterly marketing planning with updates as applicable to business
  • Drive higher business client loyalty through leading the delivery of value creating,  engagement initiatives/campaigns including:
    • New client traction program
    • Client referral programs
    • Working with the Product management process

Ideal candidates will display:

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years' experience in a B2B marketing or equivalent marketing experience
  • Experience in financial services or B2B environments
  • Project and process management experience, including working on Product prioritisation processes
  • Direct marketing and experience working with CRM tools
  • Proven history of self-direction and innovation
  • Measurable success in a customer acquisition, loyalty & retention focused role, experience working on managing and monitoring marketing and campaign return on investment
  • Proven ability to create focused marketing strategies targeting business segments
  • Previous experience leading a high-performance team
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities
  • Able to prioritize and complete multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity simultaneously

  • Commercially minded, excellent people manager with presentation skills, proactive and passionate and driven approach – a collaborator managing and influencing multiple internal stakeholders
