This person is responsible for the overall company’s inorganic strategy and process, including developing and managing strategic partnerships and alliances, building a customized M&A pipeline aligned with the strategic vision of the business and managing all phases of the M&A process, with special focus on expanding the company business into new geographic markets through channel development or acquisition.
YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with C-Level Management and lead all business development activities and strategic partnerships for internal expansions, including acquisitions
- Working within the company strategy and portfolio analysis, define inorganic strategy including gap identification, and buy-build-partner analysis
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate leadership, target companies, and industry and professional networks that can assist in identifying M&A targets as well as an outside-in perspective of key trend in the market
- Drive partner targeting, business case development, deal structuring, contract negotiations and stakeholder management for a set of priority solution(s) areas identified as critical to executing a growth strategy
- Managing investors and partnering with the CFO in securing corporate financing for M&A activity and divesting of assets
- Drive M&A pipeline, business case development, deal structuring, contract negotiations and stakeholder management for a set of priority target
- Manage the preparation of offers, valuation, negotiation, development, and review of definitive agreements, working capital targets, and post-closing adjustments
- Lead overall deal and due diligence activities and timelines and coordinate functional diligence reviews such as accounting, tax, legal, environmental, human resources, IT, etc
- Help develop and ensure plans for post-merger integration are in place and track performance of completed deals
YOUR PROFILE:
- 15 years of total professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility; proven track record of leading transformational change
- A minimum of 8 years in Corporate Development, Private Equity, Investment Banking or Consulting roles
- Experience in the online marketing and cloud-based solutions sector serves as an advantage
- Strong experience in high growth business management and fast paced product and technology transition---looking beyond the current market to identify critical opportunities for growth
- Highly motivated, high impact, energetic self-starter, passionate about Corporate and Business Development who can thrive in a high performance, results-driven environment
- Proven track record of inspiring others to a vision and actively managing a highly professional, cross-functional team
- Ability to prioritize competing opportunities, balance market needs with business strategies and priorities, manage trade-offs and articulate the rationale behind decisions
- The ability to demonstrate an inclusive style of leadership, supported by clear understandable strategies with a strong focus on results
- Excellent networking skills and the ability to deliver the highest standards of customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills
