OVERVIEW

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) serves three primary roles: it is the world’s leading presenter of superb artistic programming, is a national leader in arts education and community relations, and functions as the manager of the Lincoln Center campus, which is home to 11 separate resident organizations. LCPA presents over 350 performances annually throughout our different performance series including American Songbook, Great Performers, Live from Lincoln Center, Mostly Mozart Festival, Midsummer Night Swing, Lincoln Center Out of Doors and White Light Festival. 

In addition, LCPA supports an array of programs for Lincoln Center Education including its community and family programming.  Further, LCPA supports initiatives related to events at the David Rubenstein Atrium, LC Kids, as well as numerous key institutional initiatives and projects.

The Lincoln Center Digital team designs, builds, and oversees all externally facing digital properties, which includes multiple websites and the Lincoln Center and Tour Lincoln Center apps, managing multiple projects at once. The Temporary Digital Project Manager will work with the internal technical and creative teams to keep projects on track, from kickoff through delivery. The Temporary Digital Project Manager will also act as a liaison with our colleagues in IT and regular outside vendors.

In addition, the Temporary Project Manager will vet new projects to ensure requests are clear, and all necessary information is provided in order for the Digital team to complete projects properly and efficiently. The Temporary Project Manager will provide quality assurance for deliverables produced to ensure all objectives requested have been fulfilled and identify and address any errors made.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define the scope of new projects (goals, deliverables, schedule, and budget)
  • Keep ongoing projects on track through clear task lists, issue tracking, project timing & budget status reports, and meeting notes
  • Serve as the main internal client interface on projects with departments such as Programming, Marketing and IT
  • Manage multiple work streams while maintaining keen attention to detail
  • Contribute to and maintain business, functional, and technical requirement documentation
  • Communicate project issues and resolution clearly and consistently to the internal clients and internal team
  • Manage a suite of external vendors
  • Lead efficient meetings and conference calls with the ability to effectively set-up the presentation of creative work
  • React quickly to changing requirements while often anticipating challenges and being proactive
  • QA site builds and on-sales, upgrades, and new project launches, ensuring that LCPA business rules are being followed
  • Maintain an organized archive of work/assets for future reference
  • Assist with other department activities as needed
  • Bring high energy and accountability to galvanize and support our high-performing team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+years of project management experience with demonstrated abilities in delivery of project work
  • Technical qualifications:
    • Knowledge of Google Sheets and Docs
    • Proficiency with Mac OS
    • Proficiency with JIRA
    • Proficiency with Google Analytics
    • Basic understanding of content management systems with the ability to train others
    • Smartsheet or Microsoft Projects experience a plus
    • Familiarity with web development technologies; knowledge of software quality assurance process is desirable
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven relationship/client management skills and strong customer service orientation
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of project work from a technical perspective, but still be able to engage non-technical managers and stakeholders with clarity and enthusiasm
  • Strong problem-solving skills; responsive and flexible to evolving responsibilities and changing environment
