Lead ETL Developer

Unit Description

Sodexo is currently seeking a Lead ETL Developer who works to design, document, develop, test, implement and support efficient and reliable mappings using the latest version of Informatica PowerCenter.

Specifically, the Lead ETL Developer will:

• Apply advanced DW techniques and Informatica best practices to load a Financial, HR & Supply Management Data Warehouse, Data Marts and Downstream Systems.
• Administer Informatica repositories during system outages, software upgrades and user access provisioning.
• Be proficient in working with multiple Informatica repositories, version control, deployment groups, mapping and folder migrations.
• Develop new Informatica programs and debug existing programs and tables within the data warehouse, applying an advanced understanding of relational database design concepts and of writing SQL queries, knowledge of UNIX, and experience using a job scheduler.
• Ensure that all Enterprise procedures such as unit and system testing, change management, documentation, promote to production, etc. are followed.
• Provide reliable and timely 24-hour support on a rotating schedule utilizing advanced problem-solving techniques.
• Work with Business Groups and Data Architects to understand requirements prior to design of ETL solutions.
• Collaborate with the DBA team to ensure optimized performance of all Informatica mappings.
• Work with the Reporting/Analysis teams when dealing with testing and modifications to Data Marts.
• Works closely with the Scheduling team to develop and test AutoSys jils prior to production implementations. 

Special skills, knowledge, or certification and/or licensure required for position (not preferred):

• Demonstrated extensive experience using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Demonstrated advanced understanding of relational database design concepts and of writing SQL queries.
• Proven basic UNIX knowledge.
• Demonstrated experience using a job scheduler.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Proven strong project planning, time management, verbal and written communications skills. 
• Experience with big data.
• Experience with data mining.

Position Summary

Works in a data warehouse environment which includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation. Translates business needs into long-term architecture solution. Defines, designs and builds dimensional databases. Responsible for developing data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems. Evaluates reusability of current data for additional analyses. Conducts data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused, or duplicate data. Reviews object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
