Game Closure is looking for a bi- or trilingual (JP/EN/ZH) colleague to determine and implement our corporate strategy, developing relationships and projects with gaming and platform partners, based in the Tokyo office but traveling extensively. You'll report to the VP of Business Development.

The Role:

    • Develop our corporate strategy: identify opportunities, business modeling and planning
    • Hire and manage Strategy Analysts on key projects, including directing their day to day work and reviewing any external-facing material before they are distributed
    • Perform market research to identify and vet potential partners, set up and maintain strong ongoing business relationships with a selection of games studios, publishers, platforms, and IP holders
    • Pursue contract negotiations, ensuring the interests of the company are protected, and the contracts are signed in a timely fashion
    • Understand and capture partner expectations, and synthesize requirements with the product and engineering leaders, ensure contractual obligations and partner requirements and processes are understood and appropriately handled
    • Manage projects, aiming to release mobile games created in partnership with regional or global partners, design and oversee the execution of production schedules, follow up to ensure a timely delivery, analyze performance and regularly report on progress
    • Design and implement updates to our corporate structureFrequent regional travel, occasional travel to the US (>30% of the time)

Skills

    • Experience in M&A or coverage banking, strategy consulting, business law, venture capital, recruiting, or advertising and communications
    • Fluent business English, and fluent in one of Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or other APAC languages, with strong listening skills
    • Interest in gaming or digital consumer products, and startup culture
    • Strategic, determined, resourceful, extremely organized, excellent communicator
    • Adaptable and flexible mindset paired with the strong determination to effectively bring a strategy or product to market
    • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of key information, sometimes without explicit instructions
