Data Age offers the industry's leading product and service within the Collateral Loan and Money Services business industries with over 3,000 clients via their flagship product PawnMaster.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The .Net Developer for Date Age Business System designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications and components.  They will also support and install software applications and components.  They will work from written specifications and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and maintain documentation of process flow.  Candidates must be well-versed in the various components that make up the .Net platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working with Project Manager to determine needs and applying / customizing existing technology to meet those needs.
• Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to Visual Studio, C#/VB.NET, ASP.NET, Windows Form Applications, SQL Server, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Design, code and test new Windows and web software applications.
• Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing and action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
• Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
• Create technical specifications and test plans.
• Maintaining and supporting multiple projects and deadlines.
• Recording work progress on a weekly basis.
• Create new and extend existing operational documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to complete all phases of software development life cycle including analysis, design, functionality, testing and support.
• Ability to develop large scale web/database applications.
• Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly with business users and project manager.
• Ability to innovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfaces.
• Ability to construct user guides and documentation.
• Excellent knowledge of Transact SQL.
• Familiarity with both traditional and agile software development methodologies
• Knowledge in software design, object-oriented design and implementation techniques and n-tier application design; thorough understanding of design patterns and their application in software development.
• Practical experience designing and implementing .NET-centric, service-oriented architecture (SOA) solutions, publicly-facing web services, application and data security.
• Must have the desire and experience to implement strong unit and service-level tests.
• Experience with database design, architecture, and implementation; in particular, such design, architecture, and implementation in support of n-tier .NET application architectures.
• Functional expertise in SQL Server replication mechanisms and data synchronization.
• Experience with building large scale online platforms supporting advanced marketing activities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are absolutely required.
• Must have knowledge of both Windows and Web based applications using .Net Framework, HTML, JavaScript and related technologies.
• Must have experience of Entity Framework.
• Must have experience of RESTful service development.
• Must have experience of MVC, design patterns and development frameworks.
• Good experience of Microsoft Enterprise Library, encryption/decryption, hashing.
• Experience of multitenant applications development and support is a big plus.

EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including, ASP.NET, ADO.NET.
• Must have both implementation experience and broad knowledge of the .NET platform.
• Knowledge of Telerik Controls.
• Languages: C#, VB.Net, SQL/T-SQL, JavaScript/DHTML, VBScript, HTML, XML.
• Minimum 2-3 years in backend software design in SQL Server 2008/20012, stored procedures, ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#.
• 5 - 7 years of actual experience in transactional software development.
• Good communicator with ability to see the big picture while leading development efforts.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Programming.
