The IT Manager's role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. The IT Manager will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. The IT Manager is responsible for the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware and software used within the Company. This position reports directly to the VP of Information Systems.

 Responsibilities

  • Managing a team of staff including programmers, system admins and support specialists.
  • Assisting in the design and implementation of new IT systems and initiatives.
  • Providing user training, support, advice and feedback.
  • Testing and modifying systems to ensure that that they operate reliably.
  • Training new IT staff for onboarding.
  • Managing communications and working relationships between IT and other departments within the organization.
  • Designing, developing, implementing, and coordinating policies and procedures for all areas of information technology to assure data accuracy, security, legal and regulatory compliance (cGMP); assure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Building and maintaining vendor relationships and managing the purchase of hardware and software products.
  • Keeping up to date with new technology.
  • Recommending information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.

 Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related technology field.
  • Excellent knowledge of information technology general controls, data and cyber security, computer hardware/software systems.
  • Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and/or managing IT projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing data network and telecommunications systems.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technology, infrastructure and process needs and requirements with all personnel levels; oral and written communication.
  • Ability to be productive and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team player.
