Position Overview:
Busch Gardens and Water Country USA seeks a hardworking, passionate person to lead the Web content strategy for both parks. We are interested in someone who is innovative and organized with a desire to lead by example. The Marketing Manager needs to be attentive to details, have a strong background with web content/user experience and make clear decisions based on insights. We are hoping to find someone with coding capabilities and a desire to learn and test new opportunities in web and digital technologies. This person needs to be able to multi-task, while executing well-organized plans in advance of campaigns, events and happenings at the parks. Areas of focus are primarily website content and strategy, organic search, blog structure and organization, CRM development and implementation and new technology advancements for both Busch Gardens and Water Country USA.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage SEO and optimize for best practices with search agencies and other resources
- Develop website strategy and approve copy, images, design, layout and urgency messaging
- Update and monitor website and mobile app for seasonal and brand changeovers (including park hours, show times, ride closures, adding new information, etc.)
- Implement strategic product placement, personalization and retargeting resources
- Organize and manage website blog timeline and posts
- Track and update Google MyBusiness and follow best practices for SEO
- Create tracking process and monthly reports for other marketing teams for digital results and Google analytics
- Inform marketing teams on consumer paths to purchase and targeted audience profiles with monthly campaign snapshots
- Manage CRM and work with Property Support Center to track the customer journey with data
- Find new and innovative ways to engage with consumers through digital technology best practices, research and testing
- Develop Chatbots that inform and interact with consumers on a personal level to respond and answer questions
- Manage marketing research and website testing at park level and with Property Support Center
Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered:
- BA/BS degree in marketing or related field required.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in marketing & web design required.
- HTML experience required.
- Adobe Creative Suite knowledge preferred.
- Travel, tourism or attraction experience preferred
- Managerial or supervisory experience a plus
- Proven ability to create engaging original content online
- Outstanding written, verbal and visual communications skills. Ability to convey messages clearly and persuasively
- Strong organizational skills. Able to self-manage multiple projects on varying timelines with strategic prioritization
- Understanding of technical aspects of web applications, including database-driven functionalities, digital advertising, e-mail campaigns and general web functionality.
- Working knowledge of key digital metrics, ie: open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, time on page, new sessions, pages per visit, etc.
- Ability to work in both HTML and create images for web pages- Must have design skills in Adobe Photoshop to design and edit images
- Proven success in managing and updating websites and successfully launching new marketing initiatives online.
