Overview:
Are you interested in building mobile and desktop experiences that help people live better through a great night’s sleep? Do you like shipping code at a rapid pace? Leesa is looking for a passionate Senior Frontend Developer with an understanding of UI design. You’ll be part of a team focused on the continual improvement and optimization of our mobile and desktop web applications. Using a scientific and measured approach to development, you will be iterating changes at a quick pace that will have a very real impact to the business. We’re looking for somebody who is a confident problem solver and who proactively challenges traditional solutions.
This is a full-time position based in Virginia Beach, VA. Working remotely is not an option. Some relocation assistance provided.
Responsibilities:
- Architect efficient and reusable frontend systems that drive complex web applications
- Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Developers to deliver compelling user facing products
- Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
- Develop detailed technical analysis and design specifications based on functional requirements
- Develop complete front-end stack of projects using HTML/CSS/SASS, JavaScript on React Frameworks, WordPress
- Help write new design patterns, improve and adapt existing design component integration
- Set and follow coding standards
- Debug cross-browser compatibility issues
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of JavaScript experience, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6
- Production experience with React.js
- 2+ years working in a backend language such as Ruby, Java, Python or PHP
- Motivate and advise technical solutions across multiple cross functional teams
