We accelerate platform adoption and serve as trusted technical specialists by coding side by side with other dev teams. We are hiring a Program Manager with experience in the software development cycle, and in leading and delivering large multi-functional programs using modern software engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud technologies to deliver the leading-edge applications and solutions in partnership with high-impact customers, partners, startups and developer communities.

Responsibilities

The Impact You'll Be Making In this role, you would be responsible for:

• Effectively communicating business strategy and goals and how they align to the team's work.

• Leading the end-to-end planning, execution and reporting of main Evangelism engagement to drive platform adoption through “code-with” channels.

• Demonstrating technical domain expertise to scope projects, architect design solutions, and resolve issues.

• Delivering ongoing market and competitive insights in collaboration with Microsoft business groups and Evangelism teams.

• Partnering with Software Engineering team to identify and deliver highly visible and scalable early platform/technology adoption opportunities with communities, customers and partners.

• Driving excitement, adoption, and satisfaction about the product/service by ensuring that Microsoft partners are well-prepared with the appropriate information, engineering evidence, and message.

• Maintain knowledge of technical audiences as well as emerging Microsoft technologies, with an understanding of their use cases.

• Driving planning, and execution of first and third party 'code-with' experiences and hackathons with partners – partner with multiple teams across Microsoft.

• Be the core individual accountable for reporting the impact of team execution.

• Building the awareness, engagement and technical insights via deep relationships with main influencers in the US: Developers, Community, Startup, and Academic – be present and actively participate at Microsoft and third-party developer events.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the technology industry Preferred Qualifications:

• BS, BA, or MS Computer Science Degree / Computer Science degree preferred

• Consistent record of Developer Advocacy and/or Program Management in the technology industry

• Deep understanding of Cloud, Mobile and other computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging trends across Microsoft and non-Microsoft technologies

• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Developer ecosystem insights and track-record of involvement in developer communities (MS or non-MS)

• Ability to create successful partnerships with other key leaders across Engineering, Evangelism, Microsoft Sales and Marketing teams to deliver results

• Consistent track record of building technical and business relationships with senior business partners

• Strong knowledge of application development practices and a track record of working closely with large development team

• Exceptional decision-making skills, conflict resolution, community building, and follow through

• Results driven; strong analytical skills with exceptional verbal and written communication

• Minimum 25% travel, incl. International travel

• Must be willing to work outside of standard business hours to engage with developer communities at meetups or events that often take place in the evenings or on the weekends Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
