Application Analyst
Location: Key West, Florida
The Monroe County Clerk of Court is currently accepting applications for an Application Analyst. This is a senior position in the Clerk’s IT Department and reports to the IT Director. The Application Analyst elicits, analyzes, specifies and validates the application needs of IT customers. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements. In addition, this position generates and compiles reports based on findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to system issues. This position will require some in-county travel.
Essential Job Functions would include:
Elicit application requirements, propose viable solutions, coordinate development efforts (vendor or in-house), test and implement solutions and communicate progress.
Provide second level application support of all assigned applications by troubleshooting and diagnosing problems and taking appropriate actions for resolution.
Manage the communication of application issues to key stakeholders such as development teams, management, vendors and users.
Oversee the management of all test and implementation plans for new products and system enhancements for upgrades, patches, and releases.
Oversee the management of user training of new software and system upgrades.
Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including customer reviews, for modified and new systems and other post-implementation support.
Evaluate trending analysis of incidents to ensure problem areas are identified and solutions are devised.
Perform application configuration tasks as required.
Education and Experience:
6 years IT industry experience.
5 years direct work experience in an application systems analysis capacity.
Associate’s Degree in the field of Analytics or Information Technology; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
ITIL CBAP, CCBA or PMI-PBA certifications preferred.
Any combination of education, training, and work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position.
Willing to complete application-specific training to ensure proper knowledge and skills to perform job functions.
