Overview:

We’re growing rapidly and looking for a Visual Product Designer who understands the intricacies of brand, visual design and UX to help us build intuitive and delightful customer-centered products with a focus on mobile experiences. You take pride in understanding your customers and vigorously find solutions to make their e-commerce experience efficient and easy peasy. You must be comfortable doing the dual role of UX and Visual Designer. You thrive in entrepreneurial environments, working at a fast clip and prefer to work at a company that has a social conscience. Reporting to the Head of Design, you will be at the intersection of brand, marketing, and UX.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Put yourself in the shoes of the Leesa customers first and foremost
  • Create well executed designs utilizing a style guide that allows for consistent brand experiences across all platforms and devices
  • Help to define the user model and user interface design through information architecture, wireframes and user flows and validate it through usability testing
  • Conceptualize usable, valuable, consistent and intuitive user experiences across platforms and devices with a focus on the visual design
  • Develop storyboards, mockups, and prototypes using both low fidelity techniques like pen and paper as well as, high fidelity tools like Invision, Principle, Flinto, Adobe After Effects, etc.
  • Effectively communicate interaction and design ideas not only in front of our team but also to various project stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Gauge the usability of new and existing products and making constructive suggestions for change
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years’ experience as a UX/Graphic designer with an emphasis on responsive design and mobile experiences (e-commerce experience is a plus)
  • Experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers and cross-functional teams
  • Strong visual and graphic design skills for e-commerce and mobile applications
  • An expert in creating quality deliverables using tools like Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite, and more
  • Knowledge and capabilities of front-end web technologies such as HTML, Java Script and CSS
  • Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts such as storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Experience working in-house for an e-commerce business embedded within product/design teams
  • Portfolio of UX-focused work samples for e-commerce and mobile experiences
