We are seeking an experienced full stack Ruby on Rails developer. This is a unique opportunity to work as a part of a small team and make a huge impact.

Requirements

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable ruby code
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries such as RSpec and Resque
  • Solid understanding of database design principles and SQL proficiency
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tool, Git
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, Javascript, HTML, and CSS
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design
  • Self-motivated and self-managing. Ability to take a feature or product through full development lifecycle
  • Ability to re-evaluate priorities on a tight timeline
  • Experience configuring, deploying to and maintaining production servers in a linux environment (AWS experience a bonus)

Nice to haves:

  • Experience building out well-documented, well-tested APIs with Rails.
  • An eye for good design. The ability to take a high-fidelity design and produce a pixel-perfect application to match it. The ability to estimate technical difficulty of designs.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis
  • Experience working with modern front-end JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience working as part of a small team is a plus.
