Senior Cloud Engineer

• Take responsibility for the smooth operation of an Internet-facing Software-as-a-Service application.
• Ensure the ongoing improvement of continuous integration (CI) and automated deployment strategies.
• Take responsibility for the administration of all production and staging systems.
• Be the resident Cloud hosting expert.
• Identify security and performance issues across multiple layers of the deployment architecture.
• Update, deploy, and monitor systems developed by the team, proactively looking for opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and automation. Ensure security is rigorously enforced across the deployment architecture.
• Own and manage cloud-based production environments spread across multiple regions
• Design best practices for build and release processes.
• Manage the smooth execution production deployment processes.
• Measure and report on key customer SLA metrics.
• Write and maintain documentation about system deployment architecture & processes.
• Troubleshoot and fix production issues.
• Own the development and maintenance of monitoring solutions.
• Perform software maintenance and configuration.
• Actively identify relevant infrastructure enhancements and own their implementation.
• Report on and optimize cloud infrastructure costs
• Enhance the uptime of products and services.

Experience and Attributes We’d Like You to Have

• 5 + years Dev Ops experience or similar experience managing production and development CI environments
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Azure
• 3+ years of experience with TeamCity (preferred), Jenkins or similar CI/deployment automation tool
• Proven experience with configuring and managing Azure App Service, SQL Database, and MongoDB
• Strong familiarity with administering web-based application platforms. Experience coordinating with Agile software development teams.
• Experience using Bitbucket or similar (Git) source code management tool
• Preferred but not required educational experience in computer science, engineering or relevant field
• Passion and enthusiasm for resolving challenging or complex problems.
• Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.
• Ability to apply creative problem-solving techniques to situations using sound business judgment.
• Ability to multi-task in an effective, timely and professional manner.
