The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC), America’s first superhighway, is seeking an individual to join our Information Technology team as a Business Systems Supervisor! Our mission is to operate a safe, reliable, customer-valued toll road system that supports national mobility and commerce.  The PTC operates a 552-mile system used by 194 million vehicles a year.  The Business Systems Supervisor is responsible for supervising and performing advanced technical configuration and analytical work for the finance team.  Together, we are building the highway of the future! 

  Responsibilities

  • Supervises, plans and organizes the finance unit’s operations and staff functions including performance management, delegation of work assignments and review of work product.  
  • Ensures the appropriate technical support is provided to end users regarding their specific systems, solutions and processes. Troubleshoots, analyzes and resolves escalated issues or concerns.
  • Reviews changes to legislation, contracts, regulations, business operational procedures or systems that may impact the PTC. Determines what changes may be necessary to incorporate within enterprise systems.
  • Conducts reviews and comparisons of current business processes with the best practices to determine where business process or system changes are necessary.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or information systems. 

  • Six (6) years of system configuration experience in an enterprise business system. 

  • Three (3) of the years of experience must be in a leadership and/or project management capacity.  One (1) year in a senior level business process position will be considered equivalent.

    Equivalent combination of experience, education and training will be considered.

Location

The position is located at the PTC’s headquarters in Middletown, PA, right outside of Pennsylvania’s capital city.  The Central PA region has plenty to offer from picturesque scenery to premier entertainment, while residents enjoy an affordable cost of living.  It is conveniently located within a few hours’ drive of popular metropolitan areas such as Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C. and New York City. 

There is a Pennsylvania residency requirement, which must be fulfilled within six months of employment
