Senior Software Engineer, Rails

Based in Boulder, Colorado, Mondo Robot is a multidisciplinary team of digital artisans that bring together passion, collaboration, and creativity to create high-concept digital solutions that are innovative, engaging, and results-driven. Mondo Robot utilizes Lean and iterative methodologies to build best-in-class software while maintaining our core principles. Software Engineers at Mondo Robot work in a team-oriented, ego-free environment that values ownership and collaboration with cross-functional teams on a daily basis. Our Engineers are passionate problem solvers who are interested in constant growth, writing elegant software, and working on a diverse range of projects.

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on development

• Conduct code reviews and pair program

• Scope and estimate technical requirements

• Educate and mentor other engineers

• Collaborate with UX, Design, and Production cross-functional teams

• Provide technical project leadership, evangelize the development process, and take ownership of one or more projects

• Work with stakeholders to craft and present candidate architecture proposals

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience writing and delivering reusable, elegant, and clean Ruby on Rails code

• Experience with Sidekiq, Redis, PostgreSQL

• Experience building RESTful APIs

• Experience with automated testing

• Technology expertise with insights into technology trends and solutions

• A solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis

• The desire to work on a diverse range of projects, to contribute to the creative process, and to deliver the best possible user experience

• Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, attention to detail, and communication skills

• A passion for technical challenges and a willingness to learn
