About us: Augment provides best-of-breed support and sales augmentation tools to help Fortune 500 brands better communicate with their customers. In less than six months, we’ve attained many large name brands like Samsung and Dyson, and have many more awaiting implementation.

 

With a rock star team from Carnegie Mellon, YCombinator, etc, our team is poised to take over an emerging market. Our core products, Chat Helper and Product Helper, use the latest techniques in machine learning and natural language processing to provide innovative human-in-the-loop systems to agents in the call center.

 

The Role:

Augment is seeking a talented full stack developer to help design and development on our flagship product - one which will redefine the communication process between brands and customers.

 

As part of our engineering team, you will be given autonomy to lead critical features for our core products.

 

What are the best design patterns and technologies to help us keep pace with leading the market? How do we craft our code to ensure a high-quality experience for customers, one which scales to handle the concurrency of big brands? These and more are some of the problems you will help us tackle.

Our Ideal Candidate:

 

  • Has experience leading, or playing a critical role in development for 5+ years, ideally in startup/SaaS environments
  • Is proficient in leading edge back end technologies similar to Python, NodeJS, PostgreSQL,DynamoDB
  • Is proficient in leading edge front end technologies similar to ReactJS, Angular, Sass/Less, HTML5, etc
  • Has experience mentoring other talented engineers
  • Has completed their Bachelor in Computer Science or similar experience
  • Has experience working with standard practices like TDD, Scrum/Agile
