We are looking for a creative senior developer to build cutting-edge travel products for our (potential) customers around the globe. If that’s not exciting enough, you will also be working with us to set up a dream in-house development team. Come help us revolutionise the digital travel experience!

We are a fully e-commerce company and have many IT systems including our CMS and Commerc platforms, as well as payment, fulfilment, and translation solutions. Our objective is to have a fully micro-service based infrastructure.
Job description and role
This is a hands-on role that will require both strategic thinking and execution, and will take our digital experiences to a new level of excellence.
You will ensure the readiness of development projects and initiatives while working with business owners and technology partners to implement business objectives and usability requirements.
Following interactive and visual designs, you and your new team will build, maintain and support our existing sites throughout the product lifecycle, including implementing functional enhancements and resolving issues.
Your playground will consist of an AWS environment (elastic compute cloud and lambda) with Adobe Experience Manager as the CMS and Commercetools as the e-commerce engine.
You will join forces with our IT team and will work closely in with suppliers, product owners, a QA team, IT ecommerce specialist, solution architect and back-end developers following an Agile/Scrum methodology. Next to that you will get the chance to work alongside other IT, Marketing and Ecommerce experts in cross-functional teams.
Boxes to tick
You are the Senior Front-End Developer we are looking for if you have the following characteristics:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 4 years of experience building e-commerce tooling with demonstrated success
- Familiar with, or willing to learn how to use the Adobe platform
- Experienced planning, writing and testing code that brings to life the layouts and UX specifications of wireframes and Photoshop Designs delivered by our creative designers
- In-depth and hands-on experience creating unique and innovative web experiences using technologies such as XHTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript/JQuery, AJAX, XML, JSON, REST based APIs and other relevant technologies, as well as the proprietary Adobe toolset
- Extensive experience converting PSDs into standards-compliant front-end code
- Able to optimise front end code and functionality in order reach site speed KPIs
- Experience with Source Code Management Tools
- Experience performing QA and regression testing of web components including but not limited to browser compatibility
- Proven experience working Agile/Scrum
