Senior Front-End Software Engineer

Bolt Threads is looking for an an experienced front end developer with experience in modern Javascript frameworks such as Ember, Angular, or React to take a critical role in continuing development on our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)  and our production implementation of the Spree e-commerce server.

Bolt is on an audacious mission to reinvent modern apparel and e-commerce is a key part of that, but only the beginning. In addition to developing a modern LIMS and e-commerce system, you will be in on the ground floor of building a full materials-to-retail distributed operating platform leveraging modern architectures and operations practices that focuses on the collection and analysis of a variety of data from widely disparate systems. You will be expected to both code and provide UI/UX expertise for the product. This is a rare opportunity for a talented senior developer to get in on the ground floor of a project and build something of significant substance.

The Position

• Develop, test, and deliver EmberJS code to power our production LIMS environment.

• Support UI/UX development in a production e-commerce system.

• Provide technical leadership, training on best practices, and code reviews to other developers

• Receive broad project requirements and develop deliverable user stories for team assignment

• Participate in regular iteration meetings and developing and implementing stories

Requirements

• 4+ year’s experience with modern javascript front-end frameworks and single-page application design

• EmberJS expertise is required

• Shipped front-end code in a distributed systems product in one or more of Scala, Closure, Erlang, Go, Ruby, or Java.

• Demonstrable experience presenting complex ideas to a broad technical and scientific audience.
