With a rock star team from Carnegie Mellon, YCombinator, etc, our team is poised to take over an emerging market. Our core products, Chat Helper and Product Helper, use the latest techniques in machine learning and natural language processing to provide innovative human-in-the-loop systems to agents in the call center.

The Role:

Augment is seeking a talented Head of UX Design that will help define our flagship product - one which will redefine the communication process between brands and customers.You will work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, executives, and other designers throughout the product development lifecycle. The position requires a keen customer focus, a data-driven approach to design, and awareness of current and best practices for mobile and online UX design. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, passionate about design, and able to drive design solutions with minimal direction.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Has 5+ years of experience with topics under User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Interaction Design, Information Architecture

• Has 3+ years as a leader of small to medium size design teams

• Experience working in B2B or B2C applications a must

• Practical experience with user research, conducting interviews,  personas/use-cases, user-flows, wireframes, and style guides

• Demonstrates a portfolio of work with a proven track record for solving difficult UX design problems and simplifying difficult business process to intuitive interfaces for customers

• Has experience closely collaborating with technical teams and ensuring designs work within their development libraries and frameworks

• Has experience working with an iteration based development process such as Agile/SCRUM

• Has excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills including the ability to present design concepts clearly and persuasively to colleagues, partners, stakeholders and especially to senior executives

• Has the ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
