Position Overview

QWare (www.qwarecmms.com), located in Rochester, NY, is a software development group within C&S Companies that develops, sells, and supports cloud based facility management software to private and public facility maintenance, engineering, and operations departments.

The Qware Group has an opportunity for a full stack developer that can assist on both the front and back end.  We seek a software professional with strong database and .NET development skills. This outstanding strategic full-time position will enable you to play an integral role in a major upgrade of our cloud-based application incorporating cutting-edge technologies. You will personally develop/deliver software solutions contributing to the success of the business.

It is impossible for you to become bored in this job!  Your responsibilities will include:

• Standardize work flows and best practices across the developer team. Propose new practices and process improvements that align with company goals.
• Ensure documentation provided by the team meets or exceeds standards.
• Identify & implement new/appropriate technologies and process/code improvements.
• Create solution design documentation and conduct stakeholder reviews.
• Run senior level projects through the entire software development lifecycle to achieve high quality and on time deliverables.
• Ensure all development activities are in compliance with architectural standards.
• Assist developers with the creation of project requirements and related project initiation, documentation, including milestones and project schedules.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 10+ years of software development experience in Object Oriented Programming.
• Significant experience in relational database design/development, preferably with SQL.
• Experience with RESTful web services (WCF considered)
• 5+ years of progressive software development in the .NET environment (C#, ASP.NET), experience with AngularJS, 1.x/Angular 2+, JavaScript and CSS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience leading projects through the entire software development lifecycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong business and technical vision.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical skills.
 

Desired Skills Include:

• Experience with ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework 6, and Microsoft Identity 2.
• Experience with configuration management, preferably Team Foundation Server.
• Hands on HTML 5 experience.
• Experience with Telerik Web Forms and Kendo UI controls.
