Backend Engineer

Morressier is a digital platform and publishing outlet through which researchers can access scientific information online during and after a conference, analyse and track the progress of science until final publication in a journal. By concentrating on what we do best - data, technology and design - we are enabling scientists around the world to fully focus on what matters most: research.

We are already acting in a global environment with clients in Australia, USA, Canada, Singapore, all over Europe and more. We are a venture backed start-up based in Kreuzberg, Berlin, and we are looking for passionate change-makers to join the ride.

A day at Morressier will look like:

• Architect, design, develop, deploy, evolve, and operate distributed systems

• Develop clear APIs between system components

• Let the software speak to our conference components

• Pair with others and review each others’ work, share knowledge and increase quality across all areas

Requirements:

• You have 5 years of experience in software development

• You care about code-quality and make sure to ship code safely

• You can manage different simultaneous projects and can work with fast release cycles

• You know your way around different types of databases and have experience in continuous integration

• You are hungry for knowledge and work

• You have a positive, can-do attitude

• You are attentive to detail and have an eye for aesthetics

• You can work well by yourself but also in a team

• You have excellent communication skills in English
