Whether a user is looking for a room, needs to fill a room, or wants to find someone great to search for a place together – the app creates an all in one experience and marketplace, aimed at taking what has been a painful experience and making it simple.

Job Description:

 Based in San Francisco, ROOM8 is a startup backed by long-term private funding.  We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who is experienced and skilled in app and cross-platform software development. Together as a team we use our passion, creativity, and talent to design and build a product to enable people to live more comfortably and happily. We are a tight knit and agile team, so excellent communication and collaborative skills are required.  Join our team as we rebuild the way people cohabitate.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Design, Marketing, and Engineering teams to design the best customer experience and product.
• Full stack feature development.
• Project Manage those features for which you are responsible including estimates and progress against goals.

Experience:

• 5+ years of professional experience
• Deployed applications using JavaScript frameworks, HTML3, and CSS
• Database experience including strong SQL programming
• RESTful Web API development
• User interface development
• Responsive design
• Cross Platform or iOS/Android native development required
• Cloud hosting experience
• Linux foundation skills
• Experience integrating with other system

Education:

• Four-year College Degree in CS, CE, Web Development, or a related field (preferred) OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
