Solutions Architect

SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT

 Meets current and future business needs by designing, developing and implementing Information Technology strategies and platforms. Manage the development of strategies, multiple and/or sizeable projects and staff to meet business goals and objectives. 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand organization goals and objectives and customer business needs by using IT methodologies to ensure appropriate solutions are implemented.
• Develops high-level architecture design documents to facilitate integration of in-house development project and/or vendor based systems/applications within the existing technical environment.
• Provides solutions to highly complex projects to meet goals.
• Develops/Maintains “Best Practices” policies/procedures for the technical implementations developed within the organization.
• Performs initial design, problem solving and reviews of software and infrastructure architecture that conforms with the strategic direction of the company.
• Performs analysis oversight during detailed design of systems that conform with the strategic direction of company.
• Obtain more effective overall operations by recommending best practice technical solutions.
• Proposes changes to improve work and process flows and be a change catalyst. Constantly considers new ways of operating and actively leads appropriate sustainable change initiatives consistent with the organizational strategy. Adapts priorities and actions to changing business situations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• BS degree or equivalent and 8+ years work experience in which you have demonstrated progressive levels of technical leadership, responsibility, knowledge and experience.
• Prior experience as a technical architect, systems administrator, senior software engineer, or senior systems designer.
• Knowledge and experience with technology pillar technologies, methodologies and best practices in systems technology architecture including Windows OS, Linux-based OS, VMWare, Cisco UCS, Routing, Networking, Provisioning, Capacity planning, Mytel and Telephony and others.
• Knowledge and experience with application pillar technologies, methodologies and best practices in applications architecture including JDBC, ADO, Java, C#.Net, AngularJS, JSON, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, SQL syntaxes, PHP, JBOSS and others.
• Knowledge and experience with information pillar technologies, methodologies and best practices in data systems architecture including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, ETL, SSIS, Spring and others.
