Full-Stack Developer

About us:

Mobile Enerlytics is on a mission to solve one of the fundamental problems faced by the mobile industry and the society at large since Steve Jobs first introduced iPhone a decade ago - the limited battery life of mobile devices. We are developing the industry's first AEM (App Energy Management) solution based on core technologies invented by the team and protected by 3 US patents. Our solution is disrupting the $100 billion (estimated in 2020) mobile app market with a paradigm shift to mobile app development, from energy-agnostic to energy-efficient, which is shown to increase user engagement and the app revenue.

As one of the early employees, you will join our small founding team who have laid the technical foundation of AEM with combined 18 years of R&D on the subject technology, developed product beta that has been deployed to early adopters -- top app vendors and handset vendors -- to optimize smartphone battery life of several hundred million smartphones.

The role:

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Full Stack Engineer to join our team to develop cutting-edge AEM solutions with seamless product-market fit.

• Our ideal candidate will have strong intellectual curiosity and engineering rigor, moving fluidly between the needs of rapid prototyping and long-term development for production.
• You have taken two or more products from ideation to launch, and know all the pitfalls of the process, taking actions predictively and instinctively.
• Preferably, you have a strong background in mobile app and OS development. Knowledge of energy management of mobile devices is a plus.
• You will help to shape the engineering culture of the company, and, as a result of our size, of the company at large.

Our ideal candidate has:

• A history of bringing products to the marketplace (1 or more full development cycles)
• Demonstrated experience in and comfort with all phases of the product development lifecycle including design, implementation, verification, deployment and debugging.
• Excellent project management, planning and change management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and organisations
• A passion for creating a robust and reliable product
• 3+ years of industry experience
• Front-end development experience. Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS. Some understanding of frameworks such as SCSS, Bootstrap, Backbone JS, D3JS
• Familiarity with the app development workflow
• Professional experience with elements of our current stack: Linux, Android, Jenkins
• BS, Masters in CS, EE, Mathematics, or related/relevant field

You will:

• Work closely with our engineering team to iterate through fast-paced build-measure-learn cycles
• Translate products and features from conceptualization into fully-developed, deployable solutions
• Plan and lead projects to meet milestones and launch timelines
• Provide support and assistance in the development of efficient and high quality production processes of the company as a whole
