You're a renaissance person with an entrepreneurial spirit and the resourceful nature to learn on the go. You’re flexible and motivated, adapting from week to week to the company’s varying needs and working on a wide range of projects across traditional departments, from investor relations to setting culture to recruiting and hiring.

You’re excited to play a key role in one of the most important tasks any startup faces: building out an amazing team. You know how to think outside the box to find the best candidates—and how to bring the great things about WayBetter to life when reaching out to them.

You have exceptionally strong oral and written communication skills, and use them in your day-to-day tasks: you’re a great listener during meetings, your emails are thoughtfully written. You’re able to effectively translate high-level vision and strategy into actionable plans, serving as a “force multiplier” for the CEO and other executives.

You could come from a wide range of backgrounds - consulting, Wall Street, pursuing your own hustles - but you must be over-the-top excited to join a startup and contribute substantively to shaping its future. For the right person, this is an exciting opportunity to learn about every aspect of the business and gain a truly unique perspective and skillset.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the right-hand to the CEO, performing varying duties depending on the company’s shifting needs

  • Support other members of the executive team in performing their duties to the best of their ability

  • Seek out the best candidates for open positions through on and offline research, your own personal network, and other creative means

  • Conduct outreach and recruiting duties to effectively attract qualified candidates

  • Oversee all logistics of the hiring process, including initial screening interviews

  • Set the company culture through team-building, social planning, and other in-office initiatives

  • Be the face of the brand at events

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Gregarious, social, and able to inspire enthusiasm in others

  • Scrappy and energetic—you see what needs to be done, and do it.

  • Extremely organized and able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and people

  • Atypically versatile. You can wear many hats, and look good in all of ‘em.

  • Previous experience in recruiting preferred, but not required

  • Interest in health and fitness preferred, but not required
