Programmer Analyst Sr - Epic Front-End Environment

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Perform analysis of requirements for development of clinical research applications that support patient reported outcomes (PRO).

- Consult with content or domain experts (e.g., clinical researchers, physicians, etc.) on development of EPIC flowsheets and related structures that can be utilized in research source data collection.

- Collaborate with Epic application analysts on development of supporting applications within EMR infrastructure

- Collaborate with informaticists and biostatisticians on development of complex data pipelines

- Write documentation and narrative to support dissemination of developed methodologies

- Perform data quality analyses

Computer Skills:

- Computer programming (e.g., java, SQL, VB, C/C++, etc.)

- Knowledge on computing infrastructure (e.g., workstations, servers, data warehouses, etc.)

- FHIR experience (optional – a plus)

- Use of general software such as MS Office, IDEs, etc.

Certificates/Credentials/Licenses:

- Certification in Epic application development needed to support myChart and collection of patient reported outcomes (PRO).

Qualifications:

- 3 to 5 years’ experience in Epic application development

- 5 years’ experience in clinical data environments (e.g., Epic/Clarity)

- 4+ years experience performing analysis using coding taxonomies such as ICD9, ICD10, DRG, CPT, LOINC, RxNorm, etc.

- 3 to 5 years’ experiences in programming and system analysis
- BA/BS required (science, healthcare, research related domains)

- MA.MS preferred (science, healthcare, research related domains)

- Certification is Epic application development

- Previous programming and system analysis experience
