SENIOR DATA ANALYST, Resource Development-Information Technology (RD-IT)-Reporting and Analytics (R&A) Team, to ensure that critical data is converted into actionable business knowledge. Will work with constituents to develop new enterprise reporting resources; develop deep understanding of stakeholder’s functional needs and perform requirements analysis; help business units shape and facilitate project request submissions and provide regular progress updates; serve as bridge between RD-IT and the larger organization; lead efforts to evaluate how well RD-IT meets business unit needs and devise strategies to drive adoption of existing tools; and develop a comprehensive system for managing and describing RD enterprise reporting tools and identifying and recommending opportunities to improve and consolidate reporting resources.


Job Requirements:  Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, information technology, math, or similar discipline; three years’ SQL, Oracle, or other DBMS programming experience; two years’ Tableau development experience; five years’ experience gathering, working with, analyzing, evaluating, and synthesizing complex/large datasets from various sources and producing highly readable, informative reports; project management experience, including business requirements collection/analysis; experience providing training, end-user support, and documentation; ability to work successfully within a team; excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; discretion with confidential information; commitment to quality; meticulous attention to detail; willingness to learn/adopt new technologies; and comfort mapping business activities to IT systems/services. Must be able to overcome obstacles that arise in response to change; synthesize, evaluate, and communicate information clearly and cohesively; independently manage multiple projects/priorities while meeting changing deadlines; resolve problems; and evaluate tasks with an eye toward efficiency. Experience with higher education advancement services, particularly prospect management and gift accounting, and with Ellucian Advance or other enterprise fund-raising system strongly preferred.
