Acorn is an Altpoint Ventures portfolio company focused on making parents’ lives easier through a technology platform that allows parents to search, book and pay for kid’s activities. The company recently launched its app in London, with an expected New York launch in Q4 2017 and other major US cities in 2018.

Role description:

Acorn is looking for a Senior Marketing Professional.  This candidate will oversee the go-to-market strategy for the company and will be responsible for its marketing efforts in the US and UK. This candidate will also work with management and the product development team to evaluate market feedback for future development.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the audience development growth strategy. Design, launch and optimize campaigns across multiple online channels (social, display, search) to meet financial and KPI objectives
  • Own the suite of internally-built marketing tools and reports, collaborating with the Development team to build upgrades and features to automate workflow and improve visibility into performance
  • Work with the dev and content teams to develop content strategies to attract and engage our target audiences
  • Identify industry trends and insights that will help refine our marketing approach, conducting and presenting competitive analyses and market research as needed.

Detailed Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing -- specifically including 5+ in a direct-response/acquisition/audience development capacity
  • Proven ability to conceptualize process and tool improvements, solicit executive sponsorship, and drive projects to implementation and adoption
  • Deep experience with using analytical tools and interpreting data to drive decisions and behavior
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to balance big-picture thinking with deep-dive research and attention to detail
  • Experience recruiting, building and directly managing a teams of 2 - 10 FTE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics or similar analytical field of study. MBA or Master’s a plus.
