IT Technician

The IT Technician will work onsite to support and maintain computer systems, networks, desktops, peripherals and phones. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment.

 Education and Experience:

• At least a two-year college/vocational technical degree or higher in computer science, management information systems or information technology
• MSP, A+, or CCNA certifications a plus
• 1-2 years’ experience
• Self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills for effective team work with office and field employees and vendors
• Thorough knowledge of computer software/hardware/ and operating systems
• Enjoys working with other employee’s and utilizing their strong communication skills
• Strong IT support skills and an attention to detail

 Responsibilities included, but are not limited to:

• Setting up workstations with computers & necessary devices
• Training users on systems and equipment, including Office programs
• Installing and configuring appropriate software & functions according to specifications
• Ensuring security and privacy of networks & computer systems
• Providing orientation & guidance to users on how to operate equipment/programs
• Organizing & schedule maintenance w/o deterring others from completing their work
• Performing troubleshooting to diagnose & resolve problems (repair or replace, debugging)
• Maintaining records/logs of repairs and fixes
• Identifying computer equipment needs & placing orders
